PURPOSE:To prevent the excessive increase of rotational speed of a rotary ring, by attaching a particular brake ring below the rotary ring in a manner to act the brake when the rotational speed of the rotor becomes too high. CONSTITUTION:A rotary ring 1 is rotatably supported on a holder 2 and is rotated following the rotation of a traveler 10. In the above rotary ring for spinning, a brake ring 6 is attached to the lower end of the rotary ring 1. The brake ring 6 is a ring made of a soft elastic material such as synthetic rubber, synthetic resin, etc., and a nearly L-shaped metallic ring 7 is inserted into the core part of the ring. A brake shoe 6a is inserted into the core part of the ring. A brake shoe 6a is attached to the outer circumference of the brake ring 6. The brake shoe 6a is separated from the lower end face of the holder 2 when the rotary ring 1 is in stationary state and is brought into contact with the holder in the case of high-speed rotation of the rotor to apply braking force to the rotor. |
