PURPOSE:To improve the shock resistance of a device by using a liquid crystal panel including a driver circuit, and reducing the number of connection parts which are weak in strength. CONSTITUTION:A display part obtained by integrating thin film transistors (TR) 32 like a matrix to display an image and a liquid crystal panel 13 obtained by integrating its driving circuits on one glass substrate 35 are mounted on a package 10 having lead terminals 11, 12 arrayed at fixed intervals. A TR is arranged as an active element every picture element, and when the TR is turned on, display data are written in a capacitor of the picture element. When the TR is OFF, the display data are accumulated in the capacitor as electrostatic charge to always drive the liquid crystal. Consequently, the device is not broken by slight shock, its handling is also easy and the device can be easily mounted on a circuit substrate or the like and easily replaced.
