PURPOSE:To hold the stability of a ship body, by mounting an enclosing plate through a float lock mechanism while supporting the enclosing plate through a break rod, which breaks by a predetermined pressure, to a deck through hole, which partitions upper and bottom holds, and opening the enclosing plate when the upper hold is filled with water. CONSTITUTION:A deck 6, which partitions an upper hold 5 and a bottom hold 7, forms a through hole 8 and provides an enclosing plate 10. The enclosing plate 10 is mounted through a lock mechanism 14, having a float 25, while supported through a break rod 13, which breaks by a predetermined pressure, to a frame plate 17. When the upper hold 5 is filled with water, the enclosing plate 10 is opened by first releasing its support by the float lock mechanism 14 next breaking the break rod 13 by the pressure of the water in the upper hold 5, and a ship body is prevented from capsizing by introducing the water infiltrating into the upper hold 5 to the bottom hold 7. In this way, the enclosing plate can be actuated by the break rod 13 and the float lock mechanism 14 only when the water intrudes.
