PURPOSE:To enable an output torque sensor to be omitted, by utilizing a running condition information value necessary for calculating input or output torque and estimating an actually measured value of the output torque by calculation from the target characteristic between input and output torques. CONSTITUTION:The first arithmetic means 5 calculates output torque, corresponding to a running condition information value by a detecting means 1, seaching a map from the first memory means 3, and by the above calculated value and the information value of the detecting means 1, the second arithmetic means 6 calculates a target value of input torque, corresponding to these values, searching a map from the second memory means 4. And the first control means 7, on the basis of the target value and input torque by a detecting means 2, changes a control current, applied to a solenoid control valve 30, to perform a feedback control so that the detected input torque approaches the target value. In this way, construction can be simplified by enabling an output torque sensor to be omitted.
