PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material contg. a cyan dye forming coupler which has good color formability and has the excellent fastness of the formed cyan dye to light and heat by incorporating the specific cyan dye forming coupler into at least one silver halide emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:The cyan dye forming coupler expressed by the formula is incorporated into at least one silver halide emulsion layer formed on a base. In the formula, R<1> is an alkylene group, R<2> is an aryl group, R<3> is alkyl group of <=4 C, X is hydrogen atom or group which can be eliminated by coupling with the oxidant of a developing agent. The alkylene expressed by R<1> is preferably the group expressed by -CH(-R)- (-R is the alkyl group bonded to the side chain). The group which is expressed by X and can be eliminated is preferably a halogen atom, aryloxy group and more particularly preferably chlorine atom. |
