PURPOSE:To obtain a centrifugal separator which obviates clogging by driving a motor for rotation via a generator in a conductive circuit of a sepn. cage mounted around a removing shaft to rotate said cage. CONSTITUTION:The sepn. cage 04 is supported by upper and lower bearings. A static gear 06 fixed to a foundation base 01 and a rotating gear 07 in the lower part of the cage 04 are engaged with each other. The cage 04 rotates while revolving. A liquid to be separated is introduced through a feed port 08 in the upper part of a circular conical mounting frame 05 into the cage 04. The liquid-component is then released by the solid-liquid sepn. effect generated by the centrifugal force in the cage 04. The solid matter is stopped on the cage filter film but the cage 04 rotates and therefore, the solid matter is stripped therefrom. Light energy is fed by an optical fiber to the conductive circuit on the generator 8. The contactless conduction to the rotating part and the omission of a mechanical power transmission system are thus attained.
