PURPOSE:To enable even an unskilled operator to easily operate an image forming device by displaying a console panel on a display means and instructing a key to be depressed in accordance with an operation guide. CONSTITUTION:The graphic of the same shape as the console panel 30 is displayed on the display part 30a of the panel 30 by a liquid crystal matrix or a CRT. When one of various functions whose guide is to be required by the unskilled operator is selected by depressing one of selection keys 30b, display information previously stored is read out by a processor and displayed on the display part 30a. Thus, the unskilled operator can easily operate the device by operating the displayed keys in accordance with the displayed operation guide. |
