PURPOSE:To save the capacity of a memory by deciding whether or not branching to the same address as before is performed. CONSTITUTION:A 1st and a 2nd subtracters 1 and 2 decide the difference between the contents of a 1st register 3 where an address is set at constant-period sample time and the contents of a 2nd register 4 to which the address of the register 3 is transferred to within the sample time, decide whether or not the addresses of executed instructions continue or whether branching is performed in a positively or negative direction, and then decide whether or not there is a local loop present before from whether or not the value in a counter 9 is 0. Further, the contents of a 3rd register 7 stored with the address of the last branch instruction are compared with the contents of the register 4 to decide whether or not branching to the same address as before is performed. Then, the state is classified by six kinds according to those decision results and data to be written in a memory is selected according to the six kinds of states.
