PURPOSE:A primer composition, containing an organopolysilazane containing a specific skeleton as a principal agent, capable of sustaining adhesive properties thereof for a long period without cracking even at high temperatures, having a high curing rate as well as improved operability and useful for various silicone rubbers. CONSTITUTION:A primer composition, obtained by using an organopolysilazane having at least one skeleton expressed by the formula (R is H, 1-6C hydrocarbon, alkoxy, alkenoxy, triorganosilyl, dialkylsilyl or dialkylamino) in one molecule, e.g. obtained by dehydrogenating polymerization of an organopolysilazane expressed by the formula RaHbSi(NH)(4-a-b)/2 (a and b are as follows; 0<a, b<=2, 1.8<=a+b<=2) in the presence of a basic catalyst, as a principal agent and having improved operability without migration of a primer layer by the flow of a finishing coated material accompanying a pressure.
