PURPOSE:To optimize the replacement time of a metallic die by giving a rank order in order from metallic die which has been installed already to a working machine, and subsequently, a metallic die having a large number of times of use, and installing it from a reference side of the working machine body. CONSTITUTION:A kind of a top die which has been installed at present to a ram 11 of a bending machine 1 is grasped first. Subsequently, a new combina tion is determined in order of length as a temporary sequence. With regard to a metallic die of a new combination which has been calculated in this way, subsequently, a rank order for making the replacement time shortest is deter mined. As for metallic die which requires a replacement, the top die having a large number of times of use in the past in the bending machine 1 is deter mined first. A stroke by which a metallic die transfer device executes a recipro cating motion between a rack 17 and a body side of the bending machine becomes short, and the replacement time can be shortened.
