PURPOSE:To easily remove remaining molten metal having high temp. without any damage of inner wall of a tundish and to improve the efficiency of maintenance work by submerging a jig for drawing up the remaining molten into the remaining molten metal in the tundish before solidification and drawing up the remaining molten metal together with the jig after solidification. CONSTITUTION:The jig 11 for drawing up the remaining molten metal having cutting part 12 is submerged into the remaining molten metal 17 in the tundish 16 after the prescribed pouring. After solidifying the remaining molten 17, wire 15 and hook 18 is hung on a hole part 13 together with the remaining metal 17 to draw up. As the remaining metal is drawn up under high temp. condition, compared with the conventional method, which the remaining metal 17 is removed as dividing by drill, etc., after solidification of the remaining molten 17, it is removed without any damage in the inner wall of tundish 16 and as the pouring is reopened without any preheating to the same tundish 16, the efficient maintenance work of the tundish 16 is obtd. |
