The hub cap, intended for an automobile wheel, comprises a plate 20 and springs for fastening to the rim from inside. The plate 20 consists of a pressed component made from aluminium sheet, of substantially constant thickness, having a circular corridor 26 obtained by folding, having one wall substantially in line with the zone for fastening to the rim and carrying the springs.
