<p>PURPOSE:To enable setting of a printing end position or a printing start position free of a pitch error to be performed speedily and easily, by controlling outputting of input information by a controlling means based on a printing end or start position corrected to a position at a distance of an integer times a specified pitch from a printing start or end position. CONSTITUTION:A first designating means (a) for designating a specified pitch, a second designating means (b) for designating a printing start position, a third designating means (c) for designating a printing end position and a means (d) for discriminating whether the distance from the printing start position to the printing end position is an integer times the specified pitch, are provided. Further, a correcting means (e) corrects the printing end or start position to the position at the distance of an integer times the specified pitch from the printing start or end position, according to the result of the discrimination by the discriminating means (d) and irrespectively of the position of a carriage. Based on the printing end or start position thus corrected by the correcting means (e), a controlling means (f) controls outputting of input information.</p> |
