PURPOSE:To enable mass-production of double-packaged rice ball having a laver sheet between the packaging sheets, by automatically covering the outer circumference of a packaging bag of a rice ball with a laver sheet. CONSTITUTION:A rice ball holding tool 1 is provided with an upper plate 13 and a lower plate 14 having V-shaped front part and an opened gap of outer circumference. The tool 1 is supported with an intermittently circulating endless chain 10 attached to a machine frame 6 directing the front part toward the moving direction and a packaging bag is made to fit in the front part. An upwardly facing V-shaped intermittent suction pad 2 is made to be vertically movable across the transfer level of the rice ball holding tool 1. A laver sheet feeding box 3 is placed at the lifted position of the suction pad and an openable and closable plate 4 for folding sucked laver sheet is placed at the lowered position. A gap to enable the transfer of the holding tool 1 is opened between the openable plate 4 and the top face of the suction pad 2 of the lowered position. Both side edges of the suction pad 2 are slightly protruded from the upper face of the suction pad 2. The outer circumference of the rice ball packaging bag can be covered with the laver sheet by this mechanism to enable the mass-production of double-packaged rice ball having laver sheet inserted between the packaging sheets. |
