PURPOSE:To obtain a sheet material having an embossed pattern and ink transfer preventing properties, by adding an amide type lubricant to vinyl chloride resin, softening and melting the resin to form a sheet material and embossing the sheet material under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin is blended with (B) 2-5pts.wt. amide type lubricant, preferably bisamide type lubricant (methy lenebisstearoamide, etc.) or monoamide type lubricant (n-oleyloleyloamide, etc.), a pasticizer and, if necessary, a stabilizer, an ultraviolet light absorber, etc., softened and melted at 160-200 deg.C. A sheet material is drawn out from calendering rolls and the surface of the sheet material is then embossed in a softened and molten state or in a gradual temperature reduction from the softened state by an embossing roll having a surface temperature not to provide an abrupt temperature change, preferably 60-120 deg.C to give the aimed sheet material. |
