PURPOSE:The titled light-weight fiber-reinforced elastomer useful as belt, hose, sail cloth, etc., having improved mechanical characteristics, consisting of a cloth comprising super drawn polyoxymethylene fiber and an elastomer. CONSTITUTION:A cloth (woven fabric, knitted goods, nonwoven fabric, etc.) comprising at least partially super drawn fiber which is obtained by super drawing undrawn polyoxymethylene yarn at tens times by the use of a microwave heating draw furnace and has 0.9-1.8GPa tensile strength and 10-50GPa modulus in tension is treated with preferably an adhesive (epoxy resin, isocyanate compound, etc.) and an elastomer (thermoplastic resin and/or rubber optionally containing various additives) is pressed to both sides of the cloth by a hot press to give the aimed composite material.
