PURPOSE:To make temperature control which is simple and has a high cooling effect possible by controlling the amount of low temperature water to be mixed into dielectric fluid in a dielectric fluid supply pipe line so that the temperature of the dielectric fluid becomes the same with that of a machine. CONSTITUTION:Dielectric fluid is supplied from a dielectric supply tank 3 by a dielectric fluid supply pump 5 to upper and lower nozzle portions of a machine 7, cools both an electrode and an object to be machined flowing through an electric discharge gap, becomes hot and is returned to the tank 3 to be recycled. Here, city water or well water of a low temperature is supplied via a water supply valve 9 and a flow rate control valve 11 to an inlet side of the dielectric fluid supply pump 5. A dielectric fluid supply pipe line on the outlet side of the pump 5 and the machine 7 are respectively equipped with temperature detectors 13 and 15. A temperature difference between the detected temperature is converted by means of a control device 17 into an electric current in proportion to the temperature difference and transmitted to the flow rate control valve 11 to control a flow rate in proportion to the current by means of an electromagnetic flow rate proportional control valve. Thus, it is made possible to enhance cooling effect very simply.
