PURPOSE:To make compact a printer and contrive to centralize control and to enhance efficiency of control, by utilizing a paper feed controlling motor also for controlling change-over of color by a driving mechanism comprising a one-way clutch. CONSTITUTION:When the first rotary body 10 is rotated CW (hence, a motor shaft 2a is rotated CW), the second rotary body 11 is rotated, but when the first rotary body 10 is rotated CCW, the second rotary body 11 is not rotated, so that a one-way clutch is constituted. To control paper feed, the motor shaft 2a is rotated CW. Namely, when the shaft 2a is rotated CW, a printing paper is supplied in the direction of an arrow A. To control the change-over of color, the motor shaft 2a is rotated CCW. Namely, when the shaft 2a is rotated CCW, a platen 19 is rotated CW through a pulley 3, a belt 24, a pulley 39, an angular shaft 22, a gear 26 and a gear 20, whereby a desired color is selected, and printing is conducted by a head 28. |
