PURPOSE:To prevent a driving member from returning to a second operating condition when heating is stopped after heating the driving member to realize a first operating condition, by a method wherein, the movement of a member for connection is precluded from returning from one of the first and second operating positions to one of the second and first operating positions when a heating stopping means is operated. CONSTITUTION:The thermal deformation stress of a first driving member 1 is lost as it is cooled, therefore, a second driving member 2, being deformed plastically to a side, in which the pitch width thereof is contracted due to oppression by receiving the stress of the member 1, is released from the oppression and tries to return to an original configuration provided with the wide pitch width. Therefore, a space (a) for the playing of a semicircular pin 21, as a return precluding means, is prepared in a loose fitting hole 23 of the pin 21 or one part of an element constituting link devices 20-25, whereby the returning motion of the member 3 for connection may be precluded from being transmitted to the rotary shaft 41 of an inside and outside air changeover damper 40 through the link devices 20-25 when the same member 3 has caused the returning motion.
