<p>A device for capturing hooks (28) for use in conjunction with longline hauling and stowage apparatus (20) includes a hook elevating ramp (52), an engagement plate (50), and a brush (54). The hook elevating ramp (52) elevates the hook (28) to the location of the guide track (34) by which the hook (28) is to be captured for storage, while the engagement plate (50) rotates the hook (28) to ensure its engagement on the guide track (34). The brush (54) serves to stabilize the hook (28) immediately prior to and during hook rotation.</p> |
