The certificate of addition consists of a device for assembling timber crash barriers, making it possible, in the event of an impact from a vehicle, to exceed the tension stresses required by the Engineering Design Department for roads and motorways. It consists of two metal plates 1 each carrying, perpendicularly, eight metal flats 6 and 7, arranged either in the shape of a V, or parallel to the metal plates. These flats clamp the timber fibres in the event of sudden tension, thus improving the strengths of this material. The device according to the certificate of addition is particularly intended for the assembly of crash barriers intended to be placed along roads and motorways. <IMAGE>
