PURPOSE:To prevent the diffusion of offensive odor gas at time of casting by burning combustible offensive odor gas generating in a shell core by air supplied to a core print part for the shell core through a supplying passage from an air suppying source. CONSTITUTION:Before molten metal is poured into a cavity 7 of a mold 1, the air from the air supplying source 16 is supplied to the core print part 9a for the shell core 9, 9, 9, through an air pipe 13 to keep fill-up of air in a hollow 11 of each core 9.... At elapsing a few sec after pouring, the air is again blown into each hollow 11 through the air pipe 13 and ignited by an ignition source 15, and then the combustible offensive odor gas generated in each hollow 11 by the shell core 9... is burnt, caused to deodorize. This combustion gas is exhausted to outside of the mold 1 by gas suction through a suction pipe 14, which starts at the same time of blowing the air again. In this way, the prevention for diffusion of the offensive odor gas at the time of casting by using the shell core is achieved.
