PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a high parts attachment efficiency by setting target position data corresponding to parts attachment positions and dummy position data corresponding to positions other than attachment positions and obtaining current position data from those data. CONSTITUTION:Setting target position data (X1, Y1), (X2, Y2) corresponding to parts attachment positions and dummy position data (X3, Y3) corresponding to positions other than attachment positions, the target position data (X1, Y1), (X2, Y2) and the dummy data (X3, Y3) are read. Obtaining a current position data (X0, Y0) expressing the current position of an attachment head relative to a table, a movement command is issued until the difference between the dummy position data (X3, Y3) and the current position data (X0, Y0) becomes zero to obtain the current position data (X0, Y0) expressing the current position of the attachment head relative to the table. Further the command is issued until the difference between the target position data (X1, Y1), (X2, Y2) and the current position data (X0, Y0) becomes zero when an attachment command is issued to the attachment head.
