PURPOSE:To easily produce a product without being limited by the kinds of materials by sticking metallic powder to the surface of the flocs of a raw material formed in a dispersion medium and effecting a substitution reaction between said powder and the metal having the smaller tendency to ionization than the tendency to ionization of said powder. CONSTITUTION:For example, two kinds of raw material powders 1, 2 are mechanically dispersed in the dispersion medium, then an adequate amt. of a flocculating agent is added thereto and the powders are subjected to adequate agitation until the uniform and stable flocs are made. The preliminarily selected 1st metallic powder is added to a soln. contg. the flocs, i.e., slurry soln. and is stuck to the surfaces of the flocs, by which coating layers are formed. The slurry soln. is thereafter heated and an electrolyte soln. contg. the ions of the 2nd metal having the tendency to ionization smaller than the tendency to ionization of the 1st metal is added to the soln. under stirring. The substitution reaction is thereby induced between the 1st and 2nd metals, by which the 2nd metal is precipitated to coat 3 the surfaces of the flocs. The objective uniform composite powder material is thus obtd.
