Optical device of the spectacles type which can be used by people having significant sight deficiencies. The device enables these people to accommodate to close objects as well as to far objects. The device comprises a spectacle frame 11 equipped with neutral or optical lenses at the front of which magnifying-glass or objective lenses 14, 15 are fixed. A frame 20, held in a pivoting manner by the spectacle frame, carries one or two corrective lenses 32, 33 which may be brought in front of the said objectives or removed from this position, these extra lenses modifying the focal length of the combined optical system.
