PURPOSE:To store a large quantity of image information with compact constitution by providing a thin film-shaped photoelectric conversion member on a disk-shaped base member, storing optical images by rotating the said member, a storing images in the raidal direction. CONSTITUTION:An image storing body 4 is produced by using for instance, a glass disk GD as a base, and forming the photoelectric conversion member in a thin film on the disk GD. Such the disk-shaped storing body 4 is driven to rotate in centering a spindle MM' by a motor MM. Owing to this rotation of the disk, plural images can be stored in different positions circularly disposed on the disk. Also, in the direction perpendicular to this rotationally moving direction, i.e. along the radial direction, plural images 4001, 4001', 4001'' can be recorded. The respective images 4001, 4001', 4001'' are made incident to the storing body 4 along different optical axes 1101 1103. As a result, the storing of large quantity of image information can be executed with comparatively compact constitution, and the storing of color images also can be easily realized.
