Apparatuses for suspending tennis nets (1) are provided with at least one suspension hook (5) for the net (1) attached to a support element (2) at a relatively large distance from the ground. In order to enable the net (1) to be suspended comfortably and correctly even by relatively small persons, the suspension hook (5) is mounted to be vertically adjustable on a bearing part (3) to be secured to the support element (2). Advantageously, the suspension hook (5) is attached to the upper end of a supporting member (24) which is vertically displaceable in the bearing part (3), the supporting member and bearing part expediently consisting of tubes (24, 25) which engage into each other telescopically. <IMAGE>
