PURPOSE:To enable an accurate press cutting by means of a die and a punch without causing separation of a horizontal deflecting electrode by pressing the horizontal deflecting electrode closely to the die and cutting it with a punch from the side of other electrode joined through a spacer. CONSTITUTION:Pressure from a horizontal focusing electrode 32 side is applied with a stripper 33 toward a direction indicated by an arrow A to press a horizontal electrode 30 closely to a die 31 provided on the same side as said electrode 30. A spacer 35 is fixedly connected to an electrode 32 with a connecting glass frit 36, and to an electrode 30 with a connecting glass frit 37. The glass frits 36 and 37 are strong against compressed force, and the load applied with the stripper 33 to the electrode 32 is directly transferred to the electrode 30, pressing the electrode 30 against the die 31. Then, a punch 39 is inserted from B direction indicated by an arrow B into a hole 38 provided on the electrode 32 to cut a bar 29 of the electrode 30. The bar 29 can be cut accurately without deformation since the electrode 30 is fixedly pressed against the die 31 to be cut.
