PURPOSE:To get rid of nonuniformity of electron beam trajectories as well as to secure an excellent image in quality, by forming horizontal deflecting electrodes into forms having irregularities by cut-up, securing a necessary electrode gap, and joining and clamping it with an insulator. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal deflecting electrodes 22 are connected to horizontal focusing electrodes 29 via joining glass frits 25 existing in convex parts of the horizontal focusing electrodes 29. Therefore, spacers become useless, and any effects causing nonuniformity of based on the glass frits on the spacers are removed, while spacing accuracy is well improved. And, electron beam trajectories are stabilized and color shading in an image is also removed, thus an excellent image in quality is obtained.
