<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the title ink having excellent suitability for use with a water-based overprint varnish, by mixing a pigment, a resin component, and a specified solvent component. CONSTITUTION:10-60pts.wt. inorganic or organic pigment (A) is mixed with 20-60pts.wt. resin component (B) comprising an alkyd resin, oil-free alkyd resin or epoxy ester resin having an oil length of 70% or less; a solvent component (C) comprising at least one compound of formula I (wherein R is 1-13C alkyl; n is 2-6; X is a group of formula II or III) (e.g., tripropylene glycol monohexyl ether) in an amount of 5-35wt% of the ink obtained, or 10-35pts. wt. based on components A and B; and if necessary, a drying agent, a curing agent, etc. (D).</p> |
