PURPOSE:To prevent increase in liquid short circuit between cells and to make parallel stacking of unit cells possible by stacking a plurality of cell frames each having a bipolar electrode and installing a center manifold with which eleotrolyte is supplied to and exhaust from both side frames in the intermediate part. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of cell frames 8 each having a bipolar electrode are stacked, and a center manifold 1 with which electrolyte is supplied to and exhausted from both side frames 8 is installed in the intermediate part to form an electrolyte circulation type cell. An electrolyte enters a supply passage 4 from an inlet 2 of the center manifold 1, and is supplies to an electrode chamber from an inlet 3 of the frame 8 through an electrolyte supply chamber. Then, the electrolyte is exhausted from an outlet 5 through an exhaust passage 7 of the center manifold 1 from an exhaust hole 6 to circulate the electrolyte and charge-discharge is performed. Therefore, parallel stacking of unit cells is made possible and increase in liquid chort circuit between cells is prevented. In addition, outside piping is made compact and electrolyte leakage can be prevented. |
