PURPOSE:To prevent data on specific characters which are never transferred originally from being transferred mistakenly by providing a control means inhibiting transfer if character data to which transfer command is issued is specific. CONSTITUTION:If input data is a number, it is set to a transfer number register 16 as the number of transfer times, and the operation waits for a key input. If the input key is a transfer key, characters are transferred. Here, character data pointed by a cursor is transferred. The character data shown by the cursor is read, and its type is discriminated. If it is a blank, a punctuation, a new paragraph or a new page, characters in a document memory 15 after the discriminated character are shifted backward one by one, and stored in a next character data storage place. The reading of the transfer number register 19 is decremented, and a character string on the cursor is transferred. If the character data specified by the cursor is specific, its transfer is inhibited.
