<p>Plural items of image information having different pixel densities are stored on an optical disk (l9). The pixel densities for the image information are stored in an image information memory address storage area (28c) of a magnetic disk (28), and conversion factors for converting the different pixel densities into a predetermined pixel density for an output device (24 or 25) are stored in a pixel density conversion table storage area (28a) of the magnetic disk (28). When image information read out from the optical disk (l9) has a pixel density different from the predetermined pixel density, the pixel density associated with the read-out image information is read out from the image information memory address storage area (28c). Then, the conversion factor associated with the read-out pixel density and the predetermined pixel density is read out from the pixel density conversion table storage area (28a). The pixel density of the read-out image information is converted, according to the read-out conversion factor, by a magnification/reduction/rotation circuit (3l), and then output from the output device (24 or 25).</p> |
