The connection has a butt strap (4) which is configured in order to span those points of the parts (1 and 2) which are to be connected and is arranged such that it can be pressed on with respect to the parts (1 and 2). For relative positioning and fixing, at least one protrusion (8), which fits into a hollow in the butt strap (4), is fastened in each case between the parts (1 and 2) and the butt strap (4), on the part (1 and 2, respectively). The protrusion (8) may also be fastened on the butt strap (4) and fit into a hollow in the part (1 and 2, respectively). Said protrusions (8) and the corresponding hollows are provided and configured to absorb all the forces which act in the event of loading and are to be absorbed by the connection. They are subjected to shearing when the butt strap (4) is in the pressed-on position with respect to the parts (1 and 2). This connection is particularly suitable for a paper-making machine as connection of the top and bottom frameworks on the operator side of the machine. After removing the butt strap (4), a felt-band or screen-band exchange can be carried out from the machine side. The design of the embodiment as well as the releasing and the frictional locking and positive locking of the connection are considerably less complex and less expensive than the prior-art embodiments. <IMAGE>
