<p>PURPOSE:To prevent surface leather from being damaged by providing a gripping device which grips indirectly a seat frame through the surface leather and is able to disperse push-pressing force by means of the surface contact of rollers and pads when a front seat is carried into an automobile on an assembly line and is fitted thereto. CONSTITUTION:When a front seat 3 positioned on a pallet 1 is gripped by means of a gripping hand 10, a cylinder 42, first, is operated, making a push- pressing plate 44 come down, and the front of a seat cushion 4 is made to be push-pressed downward. Next, cylinders 22, 52 are operated, and respective gripping arms 26, 56 are so swung that the front roller 27 pushes in upward the surface leather 4a on the bottom side of the seat cushion 4 and at the same time the rear roller 57 pushes in forward the surface leather 7a on the back side of a seat back 7. On this occasion, the pushed-in amount of each roller 27, 57 is regulated by means of each pad 33, 63. Finally, a cylinder 72 is operated and the upper part of the seat back 7 is push-pressed from the front side to the rear direction by means of a push-pressing plate 74.</p> |
