PURPOSE:To aim at greatly reducing noise of a radial tire having more than two of belt reinforcing layers, by forming organic fiber cords such that the dynamic elastic modulus of the cords under a specific condition falls in a specific range when it is taken out from the tire after vulcanization. CONSTITUTION:A radial tire has a belt layer structure in which at least one belt layer having cords formed by twisting organic fibers together, and at least one belt layer having steel cords are used in combination. Further, a belt layer having cords formed by twisting organic fibers together is disposed between the belt layer having the steel cords and the tread. In such a tire, the fiber cords are formed such that its dynamic elastic modulus E' satisfies the following relationship under a temperature of 100 deg.C and at a frequency of 30Hz: 0.7X10<11> dyn/cm<2E'<2.0X10<11>dyn/cm<2>, when it is taken out from the tire after vulcanization. With this arrangement, it is possible to aim at greatly reducing the noise level without deteriorating the various characteristics of the tire.
