PURPOSE:To reduce a measuring time and simplify both a hardware and a software by raising a sensor in a vertical axis direction and then moving the sensor at a height thus reached in a horizontal direction through a shortest distance. CONSTITUTION:A test area floor is made a turn table B and an arbitrary point in a wind tunnel 5 is set on the axis O of rotation of the turn table B. Another arbitrary point in the wind tunnel 5 is made an origin ZM and a coordinate system composed of x- and y-axes on a horizontal plane and a z-axis on a vertical axis is set. Measuring points a1-an are represented by coordinates and an object to be measured is moved from a given measuring point am-1 (Xm-1, Ym-1, Zm-1) to a subsequent measuring point am (Xm, Ym, Zm). At this time, measurement is conducted in such procedure that the object to be measured is moved to a position ZM higher than the highest point of the object in a z-axis direction, then in x- and y-axis directions by distances corresponding to (xm-xm-1) and (ym-ym-1), respectively, and then in the z-axis direction to a position zm. Such measuring procedure is sequentially repeated an every measuring point.
