PURPOSE:To prevent not only the stickiness of the title sheet with a thermal head out also the adhesion of refuse to the thermal head, by providing a layer comprising a polycarbonate resin having a repeating structural unit represented by a specific formula to the other surface of a base film having a thermal transfer coloring material layer on one surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording sheet wherein a thermal transfer coloring material layer is provided to one surface of a base film, a layer of a polycarbonate resin having a repeating structural unit represented by formula (I) (wherein R<1> and R<2> are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aryl group and at least one of them is an aryl group) is provided to the other surface of said film. This polycarbonate resin is dissolved in a proper solvent and a lubricating agent, a surfactant and fine heat resistant particles etc. are added to the resulting solution if necessary to prepare a coating solution which is, in turn, applied to the base film and dried to make it possible to simply form a heat resistant protective layer. This base film is a polyethylene terephthalate film and the lubricating agent is a phosphoric ester compound. |
