发明名称 PRODUCTION OF WEDGE TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily apply uniform pressure and to obtain a uniform cell having excellent assembling efficiency as a device by opposing faces forming specific electro-optic working end parts on the 1st and 2nd substrates to each other and unitedly fixing them. CONSTITUTION:An inclined surface descending from the center part to both the end parts is formed on one side of the 1st substrate 11 and the electro-optic working end parts 21, 31 to liquid crystal are formed on the prescribed portions of the inclined surface. Then electro-optic working end parts 22, 32 for liquid crystal are also formed on one side of the 2nd plate-like substrate 12. The surfaces of these working end parts 21, 31, 22, 33 on the 1st and 2nd substrates 11, 12 are opposed to each other, spacers 4 are arranged near the center part and near both the end parts and the 1st and 2nd substrates 11, 12 are unitedly fixed to form a composite body 5. The composite body 5 is cut off at the center part, liquid crystal is sealed in the gap part between the 1st and 2nd substrates 11, 12 to obtain two wedge type liquid crystal cells. Consequently, production of the liquid crystal cells can be made easy and the uniform liquid crystal cells having excellent assembling efficiency as devices can be obtained.
