PURPOSE:To form a durable moisture sensitive element, by crosslinked treatment of a copolymer produced from an acrylic acid amide derivative, an acrylic acid derivative respectively given by the formulas and alpha and beta insaturated carboxylic acid as main unit component using a multifunctional glycidyl compound. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer is formed from on a pair of electrodes 1 and 1 on a insulation substrate 2 an acrylic acid amide derivative as given by the formula I (wherein R represents H or methyl group and X, halogen atom), an acrylic acid derivative as given by the formula II (wherein R' represents H or methyl group and Y, lower alkyl group) and alpha and beta insaturated monocarboxylic acid as main unit component. The copolymer thus obtained is subjected to a crosslinked treatment using a multifunctional glycidyl compound to make a crosslinked copolymer, from which is formed a moisture sensitive film 5. This provides a moisture sensitive element 3 excellent in the durability with limited deterioration in the sensitivity even under the environment with heat, moisture and the like changing drastically.
