PURPOSE:To clearly distinguish the end of a document on a received recording picture that is, the final page from the halfway page by detecting/identifying an end signal and a document end signal in the unit of pages from the sending side and printing the information on the facsimile reception recording. CONSTITUTION:The facsimile picture signal, the end signal in the unit of pages and the final page, that is, the document end signal sent from the sending side via a communication line are detected/identified by a communication control section 1. The facsimile picture signal is outputted to a print recording section 5 as the picture information 4, the end signal in the unit of pages is outputted to a counter section 3 as the information 2, and the document end signal is outputted to a counter 31 as the information 21. Thus, the facsimile reception page received at present is stored in the counter 3. Further, the information representing whether or not the facsimile reception page received at present is the final page of the communication is stored in the counter 3. A print recording section 5 obtains a print recording 7 from the facsimile picture information 4, the page number information 6 and the document end information 61 at every page.
