PURPOSE:To provide sure operation by making two functions with low power consumption and simple construction, wherein the two functions signify a one to prohibit ignition through judgment about on/off of a switch which is actuated according to the start admissible condition in the period of engine start, and another which is to continue ignition after the engine start. CONSTITUTION:An ignition prohibit circuit 23 is composed of resistances 27, 28, 29 and a thyristor 30. If a switch 4 is off, current flows through these resistances 27, 28, 29, and when the voltage on the resistance 29 has exceeded the voltage between the base and emitter of said transistor 30, it will be turned on. This causes collector current to flow in the transistor 30, and the output of an ignition timing control circuit is made smaller than the gate trigger voltage of a thyristor 8 by another resistance 21, and thereby no current flows through the thyristor 8 so as to make the engine impracticable to start. Once the engine has started, the ignition continue circuit 24 makes the transistor 30 impracticable to be actuated regardless of the on/off condition of the switch 4, so as to stop the ignition prohibit circuit 23 functioning.
