PURPOSE:To dispense with operation for returning recording paper each time when the recording of one color is finished and to miniaturize the title apparatus, by a method wherein the leading end of the recording paper discharged from a recording means is caught and fed to the inlet side of the recording means to be allowed to stand by and the part except the leading end of the recording paper is continuously guided and received, and the leading end of the recording paper is fed to the recording means to perform the recording of the next color. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer system color image recording apparatus, a recording paper recirculation means 20 catches the leading end of the recording paper discharged from a recording means 20 and moves said leading end to the inlet side of the recording means 10 to allow the same to stand by at the inlet of the aforementioned recording means 10. The part except the leading end of the recording paper discharged from the recording means is guided to the space part formed by the guide plate 51 and side plate 53 in a recording paper guiding and receiving means 50 and received therein. A guide auxiliary means 52 feeds the recording paper guided to the space part along the guide plate 51 by negative pressure due to a blower 55. A second recording paper feed means 30 feeds the leading end of the recording paper allowed to stand-by at the inlet of the recording means to the recording means 10 in order to perform the recording of the next color. |
