NEW MATERIAL:Patulolide A expressed by formula I, patulolide B expressed by formula II or patulolide C expressed by formula III. USE:An antifungal agent, antibacterial agent and plant growth inhibitor. PREPARATION:A microorganism, e.g. Penicillium urticae S11R59 strain (FERM P-8168), belonging to the genus Penicillium and having the ability to produce at least one of patulolide A, B and C is cultivated in a culture medium, preferably a liquid culture medium at 6-8 pH and 17-30 deg.C for 1-3 days to collect at least one of patulolide A, B and C produced in the culture fluid. |
