PURPOSE:To enable a gentle wind in both right-hand and left-hand directions to be generated in a measuring tunnel in a stable condition by adding a contraction tunnel, a diffusion tunnel and partition plates to the measuring tunnel in lateral symmetry with respect thereto and interlocking a pair of the right and left partition plates. CONSTITUTION:A diffusion tunnel 1 and a contraction tunnel 2 are arranged upstream of a measuring tunnel 3 and another contraction tunnel 2 and another diffusion tunnel 9 are arranged downstream of the tunnel 3. Further, partition plates 4 connected to moving mechanisms 5 are arranged so as to intercept the transverse section of the diffusion tunnel 9. Thus, currents for controlling motors 5C for the mechanisms 5 for moving a pair of the right and left partition plates 4 are connected to a controller 5D and a pair of the right and left partition plates 4 are controlled by the controller 5D so as to move at the same time in the same direction and at the same speed.
