PURPOSE:To give a supercharge effect and to improve an output of an engine when it is in high load operation, by larger increasing the proportion of a pressurized air amount to a supplied fuel amount in the time of high load operation, when a predetermined amount of fuel, stored in a metering chamber, is injected with pressurized air. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 33, which calculates a basic supply amount of fuel on the basis of detection signals from an air flow meter 12 and an engine speed sensor 34 while a correction amount on the basis of detection values of atmospheric pressure sensor 36, intake air temperature sensor 37, water temperature sensor 38, throttle opening sensor 35, etc., adjusts the metering chamber volume of a fuel metering device 20. If an engine is discriminated to be in the time of high load operation on the basis of a throttle opening or the like, air is supplied to the fuel metering device 20 through an air passage 32b from an air regulator 31, and an amount of the air, by which fuel in a metering chamber is injected, is controlled so that a proportion of the air to a supplied amount of the fuel increases larger.
