PURPOSE:To couple respective CRTs of red(R), green(G) and blue(B) with a lens by inserting a glass plate whose thickness is tapered into a liquid filled in the inside of a connecting metallic fixture to use a common coupling fixture. CONSTITUTION:The glass plate 11 whose thickness is changed in taper shape is inserted to the connecting metallic fixture 5. There is no geometrical angle between the CRT 1 and the lens 2, but the tapered glass plate 11 gives an optical coupling angle alpha between the CRT1 and the lens 2. The glass plate 11 is inserted to the CRT G at the center and the glass plate 11 having a reverse taper is inserted respectively to the left/right CRTs R, B. A prescribed coupling angle alpha is obtained for the CRTs, R, G, B by only changing the glass plate 11 in this way.
