PURPOSE:To prevent the stop of refresh processing operation by allowing a 2nd refresh request means receiving an alarm signal to generate a refresh request and allowing a memory access control means to process the refresh request. CONSTITUTION:A refresh request section 8 allows a memory access control section 10 to accept a request when no request comes from data transfer sections 1, 2 and outputs an alarm signal to a refresh request section 9 when the next refresh cycle comes while a response signal approving the reception is not returned. The request section 9 corresponding to the 2nd refresh request section uses the alarm signal to generate a refresh request in the control section 10, confirms the presence of the access request from the transfer sections 1, 2 via an AND11a in the internal selection section 11 to return the approval of the reception to the refresh request. The refresh request in this case is sent to a refresh request control section 45 via an OR11b to prevent the stop of the refresh operation on the memory section 5.
