PURPOSE:To instantaneously form a picture postcard having an arbitrary picture of reality by fetching the face picture data of a human being, performing processings including a trimming and a layout and forming a picture on a paper for the picture postcard by a sublimation transfer type printer. CONSTITUTION:A image pickup means 101 simultaneously or gradually picks up the image of a sender himself or a landscape or the like, for instance, and supplies the picture data to a memory 105. The picture data stored in the memory 105 has a processing applied based on an instruction input from a position data input means 103 applied to a data processor 104 and is restored in the memory 105. After the processing, the data supplied to the sublimation transfer printer through a data converter 107 and printed on the paper for the picture postcard. The data from a character data input means is supplied to a data processor 109, thereby, a function for for forming the data obtained by combining the character data with the picture data may be provided.
