<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently prevent clogging, by preventing the clogging of the vent holes of a catalyst body due to the dust in contaminant-containing exhaust gas by providing a vent hole change-over plate in a slidable manner so as to make it possible to perform the change-over operation thereof. CONSTITUTION:The change-over holes 5a, 6a being the open parts of change- over plates 5, 6 are positioned so as to communicated with the vent hole parts 12 of a porous catalyst molded body 11 to introduce gas to be treated into the vent hole parts 12 or to lead out the same therefrom and the gas to be treated is transmitted through a porous structure to receive catalytic action. When the change-over plates 5, 6 are changed over by the sliding operation of a change-over operation means 8, air passing and transmitting relation is changed over and the flow direction of the gas transmitted through the porous catalyst structure is reversed to achieve the removal and purification of the dust causing the clogging of the porous structure. The gas passing resistance of the gas to be treated is same even by the change-over operation mentioned above and clogging can be prevented under a condition for generating no variation in pressure loss..</p> |
